One of the top air shows in the United States, the 35th Annual Commemorative Air Force Wings Over Houston Airshow is always full of family fun. This Saturday, October 19th, see the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the Canadian Force Sn, and a first-time F-35A Lightening II “full demo,” along with many other performers. Don’t miss it!
The elite U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds team returns under the command of Lt. Col. John Caldwell. Also headlining the show is the Canadian Forces Snowbirds demonstration team, returning to the show for the first time since 2011. And, for the first time in Houston, the newly formed F-35A Lightning II Demonstration Team will present a full solo demonstration of the fifth-generation multirole combat fighter jet.
World-famous aerobatic pilot Sean Tucker and Team Oracle return to Houston to fly a new “duet” performance with pilot Jessy Panzer, which will be the last chance to see Tucker fly the famous Oracle Challenger III biplane before it is retired to the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum.
In addition to the amazing U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the Royal Canadian Air Force Snowbirds, you will see some of the best civilian and military pilots in the world – flying for you – plus one of the largest displays of civilian & military aircraft in North America. Spread throughout the Airshow are numerous static displays of modern aircraft. Tour the inside of a massive cargo transport; examine various types of helicopters, training aircraft, experimental planes, and more!
